EVENTS

INTERNATIONAL ART GALLERY

Artists accepted (via the IABS juried process) will be offered the opportunity to purchase a 6-foot by 6-foot display area for an easel or pedestal exhibit. This will be held in one portion of each of the training rooms during the event. In addition to networking opportunities with galleries and publishers during breaks, the artists will benefit from the ongoing business educational program. A small-skirted table will provide a place for brochures, a portfolio, and sales paraphernalia.

All symposium participants are allotted one vote in each artistic genre category plus 'best of show'. First, second and third place People's Choice Awards will be given based on the participants' votes.

INTERNATIONAL ART RESOURCE CENTER

Art industry resource firms will be offered the opportunity to purchase a tabletop display area for products and services. This will be held adjacent to the International Art Gallery in each training room. A large skirted table is provided for computers, brochures, samples, and sales paraphernalia. Sufficient break times will allow symposium participants to browse through the displays and meet each participant.

PRIVATE RECEPTION
First Evening from 6:30 pm to 10:00 pm

This is the break-the-ice private reception for all participants. It will be first-class, with touring servers and additional self-serve buffet-style hors d'oeuvres. Celebrity artists will display their work and will be available for discussions. A silent auction with art donated by the participants will give art patrons and those already highly successful an opportunity to 'give back'.

AWARDS DINNER AND CEREMONY
Second Evening from 8:00 pm to 10:00 pm

This included sit-down dinner will offer the opportunity to relax and enjoy the company of all of our new friends. Once dinner is completed, the awards ceremony begins. Winners are called on stage to receive People's Choice, and International Art Business Symposium juried awards. In addition, ribbons will be displayed in the ballroom at the winners' exhibits for the rest of the event.
